Art has become a mirror of Ukraine’s resistance, strength and courage. Art in the wartime reflects our losses and deepest sorrow, our hope for the future of our nation and land, our anger against the occupants, our desire for freedom. Ukrainian art today is sharp, strong, intense and powerful. Artists put into their artworks their hearts, their blood, their souls, their fears and their hopes. However, it’s not always possible to deep dive into art creation and reflection processes, as the majority of Ukrainians are volunteering to support our Military Forces. Today,we are going to hear the live stories of Ukrainian artists, who decided to stay in Ukraine and continue working. A4P Anniversary Message
What can we, as artists do, to make this a livable world for all children, our neighbors, for the earth, for all life forms with whom we share Mother Earth? Or are we content to stand aside, busy in our personal pursuits and watch our lives, our planet decay further into the abyss of war, hatred, inhumanity, starvation, and desolation?
The response of our collective is, “No! We shall not stand by without contributing in some way to advance change by helping raise the consciousness of the world through awareness, positive actions, building bridges and holding hands.”
Artists4Peace, a collective of kindred artistic souls seeks to channel our creativity, ideas and imagination for common causes that make a difference.
